Job Description	Job Description: The Contracts Manager works directly for the Senior Contracts Manager supporting the both the Integrated Transmission Systems (ITS) and Open Combat Systems (OCS) Lines of Business under the Director of Contracts for the Maritime Account. Leads a team of contracts specialists located in the Northern Virginia area. In addition, personally manages contracts sufficient to achieve a 75% direct labor utilization rate. Provides subject matter expertise and counsel in contracting practices. Works continually and consistently with program management personnel. He or she must possess extensive knowledge of FAR, DFARS, and Government contracts policies and procedures. Strong leadership, communication and teambuilding skills are necessary. Selected applicant will: administer and monitor contractual performance consistent with contract requirements, applicable laws and GDAIS policies and procedures; in close coordination with the proposal team, lead customer negotiations for new and existing business to effectively meet the GDAIS strategic and financial goals; work closely with customer and management personnel to mitigate potential problems as well as to resolve complex or contentious issues; and continually develop innovative solutions and strategies to maximize probability of successful achievement of contractual obligations. Selected applicant will be required to routinely draft all forms of contractual engagements (Nondisclosure Agreements, Teaming Agreements, Proposals, etc) consistent with U.S. Government and GDAIS policies and procedures. Selected applicant will be subject to a Government security investigation. U.S. citizenship is required. TS/SCI Job Requirements: Requires Bachelors degree or equivalent. Minimum 3 years of related management experience or demonstrated effectiveness to meet the managerial expectations. Due to the nature of work performed in our facilities, U.S. Citizenship is required.
