Senior Network Engineer Belgium Active TS/SCI Security Clearance is required PRIMARY AREA: Installs, maintains, monitors, and coordinates the operation of complex local and/or wide area networks; Required to work under limited or no supervision; performs additional duties as assigned. This position will require the ability to think on the run. Experience with all variations of Cisco routers, switches, and firewalls used in a DOD environment. Install and upgrade network software and hardware, as directed. Install, configure, and maintain network-monitoring software. Install and operate all components of a CISCO VOIP and TANDBERG infrastructure. Use Cisco ACS to manage access to network devices and ensure security is always maintained. Monitor and maintain the network to ensure reliability, data integrity, and peak performance. Maintain configuration control over network architecture and equipment. Make recommendations for COTS hardware/software upgrades and implementation of new network systems, as needed. SECONDARY AREA: Assist in the Systems Support role which includes desktop and server installation, operation, and maintenance. Assist customers in resolving not only network issues but overall system issues. Have a good understanding of Modern Windows environments and configurations. Understand Virtual environments and their implementation including virtual networks. 1. Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training, or work experience. 2. Certification desired in one or more specific area CCNA, CCNP, MCSA, or MCSE 1. Minimum 6-10 years of directly related experience in network administration and support; 2. Must have excellent oral, written and teamwork skills. 3. Must be capable of troubleshooting complex network and system issues. 4. Thorough knowledge of Cisco series switches, routers, and security devices. 5. Thorough knowledge of Cisco VOIP networks and infrastructure. 6. Thorough knowledge of KG-175, KIV-7, KIV-19 and other Cryptographic devices. 7. Thorough knowledge of desktop operating systems and applications. 8. Extensive knowledge of Ethernet, Fast Ethernet, Gigabit Ethernet and Cisco IOS and, Catalyst OS. 9. Extensive knowledge of VLAN's, Spanning Tree, EIGRP, RIP, OSPF, BGP, and Multicast. 10. Knowledge of network applications including Solarwinds, What's Up Gold and syslog server 11. Experience with creating network diagrams using VISIO and maintaining accurate site diagrams 12. Experience terminating fiber optic cables, using Hot Melt, Unicam, and fusion splicing equipment 1. Must obtain Security + Certification 90 days after hire. 2. Must obtain ITIL-Foundation v3.0 Certification 90 days after hire. 3. Candidate must be willing to deploy if required. 4. Must be willing to perform system maintenance duties after-hours and on weekends. 5. Must be willing to cover shift-work as required. 6. Must be willing to be on-call for troubleshooting and support. 7. Must be able to lift 50 lbs. 8. Must possess a TS/SCI security clearance.
