Job Description	THIS POSITION IS AN IMMEDIATE OPENING IN KILGORE, TEXAS **PLEASE NOTE THIS POSITION IS OPEN FOR DIRECT APPLICANTS ONLY. FEE-BASED AGENCY CANDIDATES WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED.** Assists the ME/IE with designs, implementation, monitoring and maintaining manufacturing processes to achieve the most efficient, cost effective and high quality production possible; uses Lean Six Sigma tools to manage customer-focused quality improvements. • Assist in planning, coordinating, facilitating continuous improvement lean events • Interface between manufacturing and engineering to resolve questions/problems • Assist Engineering with DFx (Design for Lean, Design for Test, etc) • Assist in the Analysis, troubleshooting and identifying root cause failure analysis on identified systems. Drive issues to closure with preventive measures • Work with assemblers and technicians to resolve assembly problems • Liaison with contract manufacturers for process readiness and on going issue resolution • Drive cost reduction by value engineering current processes • Develop, improve and/or keep up-to-date process procedures including routings, tracking of DR's and Work Packages • Assist in the development of assembly methods • Employ sound Project Management skills to deliver projects in a timely and complete manner • Perform other duties as assigned • Assist with continual improvement in the process and production of all products • Embody Guiding Principles (Customer First, Continuous Improvement, Honor Commitments) • Comply with all SATCOM policies, procedures and regulations. An Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer We welcome and encourage diversity in our workforce Experience and Education • 5+ years experience working in a manufacturing environment working with engineering to solve engineering related issues. • Kaizen and lean manufacturing knowledge, knowledge of Bills of Material (BOM's), routings, production planning practices. • Familiarity with AS400 or other MRP software is a plus • RF Experience a plus • HS Diploma/GED required Knowledge, skills, and abilities • Excellent problem solving skills • Excellent oral and written communication skills • Ability to organize, be creative, and show initiative • Ability to work effectively with little direction and/or few guidelines. • Knowledge of recognized drawing/drafting practices and standards. Familiarity with GD&T. • Knowledgeable of modern fabrication and assembly techniques and machine-shop practices and techniques.
