General Dynamics Information Technology (GDIT) is seeking candidates to function as Transition Coordinators for the Joint Task Force National Capital Regional Medical Command (JTF CapMed). Transition planning is an interdisciplinary collaborative endeavor encompassing all processes, and providing a structure to identify physical move and operational requirements and interdependencies, thereby ensuring smooth functioning in the new patient care environment. Duties include:

1. Coordination of schedules, actions and priorities within and between hospital departments across three medical campuses.
2. Familiarizing staff with the transition/transformation processes.
3. Providing support and review of unit level transition assessments and plans for each service/operational entity, including review of all business processes, identification of required new processes, refinement of existing processes, and related training requirements.
4. Conducting interviews with project team members, administrative, service support departments, and functional managers to assess transition related issues, internal/external dependencies, and daily operating requirements/systems in relation mission requirements.
5. Maintaining an issue management logs to provide a repository for server specific issues, courses of action and mitigation strategies.
6. Coordinating end-user training and competency assessment related to building systems and equipment in ensuring adherence to est. timelines.
7. Coordinating and executing comprehensive transition plans
8. Coordinating and providing data input to the project scheduler
9. Special projects as assigned


1. Bachelors Degree in a related business or technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical training, or work/military experience within the MHS..
2. Professional certification (PMP) preferred.
3. Lean Six Sigma training - green belt level certification

1. Must possess middle-management experience responsible for the delivery of healthcare services
2. Experience and knowledge with the Joint Commission standards of accreditation for hospitals, and ambulatory care facilities, or behavioral health facilities.
3. Experience working with military hospital closure, movement, and reopening, preferably Army facilities
4. Understanding of the clinical, clinical support, and administrative support areas of Military Medicine

1. Ability to produce deliverables using Microsoft Office products
2. Military leadership experience is preferred
